Loaded Cheddar Bacon Beer Bread is the Recipe You Need to Try This Weekend

Good morning!

Are you ready for Halloweekend? My costume is waiting. The porch decorations will get hung later. And I can't wait to hand out candy in our neighborhood.

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays so I am thrilled to dress up and hand out candy this year. It's been a few years since I last was home to do so. How about you?

In my kitchen, I've been playing with no knead breads like the Loaded Cheddar Beer Bread that I've featured this week in this newsletter. They are so easy and the flavor is amazing. When making beer bread, I recommend choosing a bold beer — perhaps even bolder than you'd normally drink. Combined with the other ingredients, it can add so much.

Other than that, I am still out talking about Disney Princess Cookie Party and The Pizza Planet Cookbook, both of which debuted this year and make fantastic gifts. I'm also in the beginning stages of imagining my next project, though it's way too soon to share details. More on that in the future.

Hope you are well and looking forward to an amazing weekend.

xoxo, Sarah

Moist, but dense, Pumpkin Cupcakes with Dreamy Cream Cheese Frosting have a flavor is reminiscent of pumpkin pie, mixed with notes of carrot cake too (no carrots though!). The frosting is creamy and, yes, totally dreamy. It has all the good parts of cream cheese, sweetened just right so that it counters the slightly sour note that it carries.

Good morning and happy Friday! Here in Maine, I have been taking every opportunity to eat outside while the weather is still on the warm side. That's how I met my little squirrel friend pictured above. He's come to visit me a few times, and let me know that he prefers me not to spend time on my porch. I've also been cooking with as much fresh produce from the farmers market as I can. Our warm days are numbered, and that means that the growing season will come to an end before we know it....
